I am very pleased with my Thanksgiving Holiday this year.  All of our family is doing fine.  Even though we all celebrated in different parts of the country we were all still together in spirit.  After downing tons of turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, I plopped on my couch to watch my Horns.

I expected the score to be somewhere around 50-0, but this was a rivalry game.  A&M was going to show up, and they did in a big way!  The Horns Defense was truly tested, but in the end Texas’ Heisman Hopeful QB, Colt McCoy, took the game into his own hands and delivered a victory for the Texas faithful.

As I was preparing to go to bed, I felt a bit of deja vu.  My bloodsugar was about 165, not bad for all the crap I ate during Thanksgiving dinner.  I walked up the stairs and checked on my kids who were sleeping like bears in winter.  I noticed the 2005 National Championship football my I had given my son when the Horns last won.  It had all the scores from that awesome campaign.  I looked at them all and discovered that just like this year, Texas rolled over every opponent except Texas A&M.  The game was close.  The Horns beat A&M 49-29, but it was Vince Young who carried the Horns on his back to victory.  The game felt closer than the 20 points they won by.  Is this a case of history repeating itself?  Perhaps a bit of Déjà vu?

The Horns are one victory away from a shot at the National Title.  I really hope they win as my kids are old enough to understand what is going on.  In order to prevent excuses for my Horns, IF they get by Nebraska, I really hope they play Bama.  I don’t want to hear, “Well if they only got to play Bama!” from my Brother In-Law.
