Gray Areas


Are there really such things as Gray Areas?  I am starting to believe less and less in them.  You are or you are not, you have or you have not, you can or cannot, and you do or you do not.  The term Borderline Diabetic really bothers me.  You either are a Diabetic or you are not.  What is Borderline?  If they keep in the direction they are going in they will eventually become one, right?  If they listen to their doctors and do exactly what they are told they might not become a Diabetic, right? If A Tree Falls In The Forest


If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around does it make a sound? I was thinking today about the notion of diabetes being a silent killer.  I don’t think it is so silent, I think we are just not listening to our bodies.  Now that I am tuned in my hearing is different–I can hear it loud and clear.  I know when I have had too much sugar, and probably 90% of the time when I take my reading my guess is within 10 sugar level points of my actual sugar reading.  I also know when I haven’t eaten enough.
