href=\"http:\/\/diabetes.webmd.com\/news\/20100917\/blueberries-may-help-improve-insulin-sensitivity?src=RSS_PUBLIC\" target=\"_blank\">study<\/a> published in the October issue of <em>The Journal of Nutrition, <\/em>daily consumption of whole blueberries increases insulin sensitivity and helps reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes in both men and women.\u00a0 And that&#8217;s on top of all of the other great qualities of the blueberry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Blueberries are loaded with nutrients &#8211; a very good source of vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber.\u00a0 They&#8217;re packed with flavor, low in calories and rank low on the gylcemic index.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And don&#8217;t think that blueberries are just for pies and muffins.\u00a0 They are wonderful in <a href=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/a-sweet-life-staff\/recipes\/meal-type\/breakfast\/rivas-oatmeal\/6694\/\" target=\"_blank\">oatmeal<\/a>, yogurt, and even make a great addition to a green
