Medtronic has launched\u00a0the Enlite Sensor, the\u00a0newest\u00a0and\u00a0most\u00a0advanced glucose\u00a0sensor\u00a0for\u00a0continuous glucose\u00a0monitoring\u00a0(CGM), in\u00a0more\u00a0than\u00a035\u00a0countries\u00a0outside\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0United\u00a0States.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new Enlite\u00a0Sensor combines\u00a0greater\u00a0comfort\u00a0with improved\u00a0glucose\u00a0sensor\u00a0performance\u00a0in\u00a0both\u00a0overall accuracy and detection of hypoglycemia. According the the company when\u00a0the\u00a0Enlite\u00a0Sensor\u00a0is\u00a0used\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0predictive\u00a0alerts\u00a0feature\u00a0on\u00a0Medtronic\u00a0systems, diabetes\u00a0patients\u00a0have\u00a0access\u00a0to\u00a0hypo\u00a0detection\u00a0rates\u00a0up\u00a0to\u00a098%. This\u00a0helps\u00a0give\u00a0early warning\u00a0to\u00a0people\u00a0with\u00a0diabetes\u00a0so\u00a0they\u00a0can\u00a0take\u00a0action\u00a0to\u00a0prevent\u00a0dangerous hypoglycemia,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0one\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0major\u00a0concerns\u00a0of\u00a0people\u00a0living\u00a0with\u00a0diabetes.
