In addition, Victoza<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>has a low risk of hypoglycemia and a demonstrated safety profile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Victoza\u00a0has\u00a0been commercially launched in\u00a0more than 39 countries including\u00a0the US, Japan, the Arabian Peninsula, and a number of countries in Europe, Asia and South America.\u00a0Victoza\u00a0was approved in June 2009 by the European Commission in all 27 European Union member states. In Europe Victoza\u00a0is indicated for treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to achieve glycemic control, in combination with\u00a0or as an add-on to metformin, sulphonylurea\u00a0and thiazolidinedione.\u00a0 In January 2010, Victoza was approved in the U.S. as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Victoza, Novo Nordisks best selling type 2 diabetes drug is now commercially available in China.
