{"id":24164,"date":"2012-03-09T11:01:05","date_gmt":"2012-03-09T16:01:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asweetlife.org\/?p=24164"},"modified":"2016-02-09T04:50:49","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T09:50:49","slug":"microwave-cheese-crackers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/?p=24164","title":{"rendered":"Microwave Cheese Crackers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Love can change your life. \u00a0A job can change your life. \u00a0And believe it or not, cheese can change your life.<\/p>\n<p>This is cheese and crackers without the carbs!\u00a0 I can&#8217;t really call it a recipe, it&#8217;s more of an idea, one that really can change your low carb life.\u00a0 It takes no time or effort to make.\u00a0 And if you&#8217;re like me and you have those moments when you&#8217;re in a rush, starving, and the only quick foods in your house are carbs, this is the solution.\u00a0 You can also make these for more elegant events.\u00a0 They impress everyone.<\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0Take a slice of cheese or a big spoonful of grated cheese<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Place the cheese on a sheet of baking paper<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Microwave (30-60 seconds, depending on the thickness of cheese and how crispy you like it)<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Remove cheese cracker<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0Let cool for a minute (the cracker will harden as it cools)<\/p>\n<p>I have made this with three kinds of cheese: Parmesan, mozzarella, and yellow cheese.\u00a0 I think it&#8217;s most successful with Parmesan.\u00a0 It takes a little trial and error to get it just right.\u00a0 Too long in the microwave yields burnt cheese.\u00a0 Not long enough and you&#8217;ve got a very gooey cracker. \u00a0\u00a0 No matter how it turns out, it doesn&#8217;t have carbs!<\/p>\n<p>*The crackers in the photo are Parmesan.\u00a0 The meat in the photo is corned beef.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t eat meat, so I have no opinion, but Mike says the two are an amazing combination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is cheese and crackers without the carbs!
