{"id":30793,"date":"2012-10-12T08:44:18","date_gmt":"2012-10-12T12:44:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asweetlife.org\/?post_type=recipes&#038;p=30793"},"modified":"2016-02-16T02:37:33","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T07:37:33","slug":"parmesan-flax-crackers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/?p=30793","title":{"rendered":"Parmesan Flax Crackers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flax crackers just might be the perfect snacking solution.\u00a0 These flax crackers are low carb, gluten free, sugar free, diabetes-friendly, and nut-free.\u00a0 They aren\u2019t dairy free, but certainly can be modified to accommodate anyone who is lactose intolerant or vegan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I set out to create this recipe for three reasons.\u00a0 First, my wife has been hinting at it.\u00a0 Second, for me, eating low carb means I almost never have a quick and crunchy snack food.\u00a0 I\u2019m not the only one who misses quick and crunchy, right?\u00a0 And third, it\u2019s not easy find something other than veggie sticks that you can serve as simple appetizers and with dips.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well, thanks to flax crackers, gone are the days of serving cheese and crackers without the crackers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flaxseeds are not just low carb.\u00a0 They\u2019re loaded with fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.\u00a0 They have a mild, slightly nutty taste that blends well with many flavors.\u00a0 I decided to make Parmesan flax crackers not just because I love Parmesan, but because it adds such richness to this recipe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These Parmesan flax crackers are fantastic on their own, with chesse, roast beef, guacamole, salsa, grilled zucchini, hummus, black lentil hummus, and even in place of croutons in a salad.\u00a0 And even better, they are very easy to make.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div id=\"zlrecipe-container-199\" class=\"zlrecipe-container-border\" >\n<div id=\"zlrecipe-container\" class=\"serif zlrecipe\">\n  <div class=\"recipeRating\"><div id=\"post-ratings-30793\" class=\"post-ratings\" data-nonce=\"9ef28dbc75\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"rating_30793_1\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-postratings\/images\/asweetlife_stars\/rating_on.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" onmouseover=\"current_rating(30793, 1, '');\" onmouseout=\"ratings_off(3.5, 4, 0);\" onclick=\"rate_post();\" onkeypress=\"rate_post();\" style=\"cursor: pointer; Add the melted butter and mix in well with a fork until dough comes together in a ball.\r\n          <\/li>\n                            <li class=\"instruction \" itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\">\n          Using a rolling pin or a wine bottle, roll the crackers out very thinly between two sheets of parchment paper.
