Ryzodeg\u00a0can be administered once or twice daily with the main meal(s).\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In global treat-to-target studies supporting the new drug application, where Ryzodeg\u00a0was compared to NovoMix, Ryzodeg\u00a0demonstrated a significantly lower risk of nocturnal hypoglycemia while successfully achieving equivalent reductions in HbA1c.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Japan, Ryzodeg\u00a0will be available in FlexTouch, Novo Nordisk&#8217;s latest prefilled insulin pen, which has an easy auto-injector mechanism, and in Penfill\u00a0for Novo Nordisk?s durable insulin pens.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tresiba\u00a0and Ryzodeg\u00a0were submitted for regulatory approval to the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in December\u00a02011\u00a0and March\u00a02012, respectively. Tresiba\u00a0was approved in Japan in September\u00a02012. In October\u00a02012, Tresiba\u00a0and Ryzodeg\u00a0received positive CHMP opinions in the EU. In November, the products received a positive vote for approval from an FDA Advisory Committee.
