Toast, cereal, and juice are simple solutions, but who wants to start the day with a giant bolus? \u00a0So to help you out, we&#8217;ve prepared a list of really quick, diabetes-friendly, low carb breakfast foods.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">7 Quick Low Carb Breakfast Ideas:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/HardBoiledEgg.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-32331 lazyload\" title=\"Egg\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/HardBoiledEgg-211x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hard boiled eggs<\/strong> might be the easiest breakfast of all. \u00a0You can prepare them ahead of time and keep them in the refrigerator. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t prepare ahead, just boil while you&#8217;re getting dressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Avocados for breakfast.<\/strong> \u00a0We&#8217;re serious. \u00a0Slice an avocado down the middle, remove the pit, take a small spoon, and eat directly out of the skin. \u00a0We like lemon juice and salt with our avocados, but if you&#8217;re really in a rush, eating them plain works just fine. \u00a0If that doesn&#8217;t work for you, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/eatwholly.com\/products\/wholly-avocado\/chunky-avocado-snack-packs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Wholly Avocado<\/a>, a 100% avocado snack pack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Yogurt.<\/strong> \u00a0You can get single serving sized containers of yogurt just about everywhere. \u00a0The key to buying yogurt is to read the label and make sure there is no added sugar. \u00a0Some yogurt has just as much sugar as a candy bar! \u00a0We&#8217;re big fans of Greek yogurt. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t like plain yogurt, there are plenty of low carb items you can add: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, nuts, seeds, nut butters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cheese or cheese crackers (but not cheese <em>and<\/em> crackers).<\/strong> \u00a0Those individually packaged string cheese sticks are great for kids&#8217; lunch boxes. \u00a0They&#8217;re also a great thing to grab on the go. \u00a0Cottage cheese is another quick cheese choice. \u00a0As with yogurt, you can throw berries, nuts, and seeds into your bowl. \u00a0If you can spare enough time to use your microwave for one minute, make <a href=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/recipes\/microwave-cheese-crackers\/\" target=\"_blank\">cheese crackers<\/a>. \u00a0They are absolutely delicious (and addictive).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Parmesan-Cheese-Crackers.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-32332 lazyload\" title=\"Parmesan Cheese Crackers\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Parmesan-Cheese-Crackers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"352\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Parmesan-Cheese-Crackers.jpg 550w, https:\/\/asweetlife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Parmesan-Cheese-Crackers-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Make your own cereal.<\/strong> \u00a0I do this all of the time. \u00a0Put some or all of the following into a bowl: whole almonds, sliced almonds, chia seeds, <a href=\"http:\/\/alldayidreamaboutfood.com\/2012\/11\/stocking-your-low-carb-pantry.html\" target=\"_blank\">sugar free dried cranberries<\/a>, blueberries (any nuts or seeds you like will work), and add milk. \u00a0Cow&#8217;s milk has more carb than nut milks or coconut milk. \u00a0My favorite is almond milk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fresh veggies. <\/strong> We&#8217;ve long been fans of vegetables for breakfast, but making a salad for breakfast is not necessarily quick. \u00a0Slicing a few cucumbers lengthwise, however, takes no time at all.
