Dear Readers,<\/p>\n

We\u2019re very excited to announce that we recently incorporated\u00a0ASweetLife<\/strong>\u00a0and related projects under a new nonprofit media organization,\u00a0Diabetes Media Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0(DMF), devoted to disseminating information about, and generating community around, living a healthy life with diabetes.\u00a0 DMF helps people living with or affected by diabetes find information, community, and support from one another, and to share their stories. \u00a0 We\u2019re thrilled with the guidance we\u2019re receiving from our outstanding board: Jeffrey Solomon, Chair; Risa Pulver, Secretary and Treasurer; Fran Carpentier; An Phan; Gail Pressberg; and Willam Toby, JR.<\/p>\n

We are asking for your support to help DMF expand its reach even further and help more individuals and families coping with diabetes. \u00a0In the age of the Internet, when we have a health concern, often the first thing we do is search online for further information. \u00a0Imagine how much better it is for a newly diagnosed diabetes patient to find a community of people like us, who are thriving with diabetes, rather than the standard grim outlook about potential diabetes complications.<\/p>\n

And we want to continue to bring you more top-notch content.\u00a0 We plan to significantly increase the number of feature stories on ASweetLife, but to do this we need your support.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to raise $9,000 by the end of the year.\u00a0 If we can build a community of 90 supporters who can donate $100 each, we\u2019ll meet our target!\u00a0 And, of course, we are extremely grateful for smaller donations as well.\u00a0 We\u2019re already so grateful for the way you\u2019ve loyally supported ASweetLife.\u00a0 Now we hope you\u2019ll join us as we expand our reach.\u00a0 A donation to DMF will benefit the millions of people worldwide living with or affected by diabetes.<\/p>\n
