Did you know that November 14th was World Diabetes Day? I didn’t. But as luck would have it, today is the day I am officially launching the Reluctant Diabetic, my long-overdue online attempt to unite the diabetics of the world. So I have decided to co-opt the holiday. Yes, that’s right: from this year on, November 14th will officially be known as The Reluctant Diabetic World Diabetes Day. This year, the celebrations are starting small (me, my computer, a press release about pancreases). But stick around, and things might get better. One of these days, we might even be celebrating a cure.
Happy World Diabetes Day!
