The new year is almost upon us, and we’re preparing for a 2018 full of in-depth reporting and strong advocacy. For those of you who don’t know, ASweetLife is published by Diabetes Media Foundation, a nonprofit organization, and we need your generous support to continue publishing.
ASweetLife is brought to you by people with diabetes for people with diabetes. Our founders, editors, and contributors are all touched by diabetes, and our content is not only first-class, it’s also from the heart.
We’re proud of the stories we told in 2017, but the biggest rewards of running ASweetLife are the interactions with you, and the knowledge that we’re all in this together.
Here are some of your recent comments on ASweetLife that demonstrate the D-bond we all share.
“You wrote exactly how I feel too. You wrote it beautifully. Thank you for this.”
“Excellent article! Informative and clear while being funny at the same time – perfect! Thank you for writing what I’ve been thinking also.”
“So well expressed. And cathartic to read thoughts I’ve had yet expressed by someone else!”
“This is beautifully stated, and it made me cry. Thank you. Thank you.”
“This is wonderful, and I appreciate the insight to type 2.”
“Being type 2…I don’t know about needles. But you have graciously provided me with a slice of that reality and given me pause to be more thankful for all I have.”
“My mother and I made this recipe this evening and I must tell you when we tasted it we embarrassed and were in tears. For so long I have missed my mother’s fudge since we are both diabetic now. You have given us back so many memories.”
Thank you for an amazing year. You always inspire us to to keep going, and your donations make it possible.
