Alexis Pollak, author of the blog I Run on Insulin was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes seventeen years ago, at the age of ten. Diabetes advocacy and supporting people with diabetes is her passion, and she is volunteer chair of the San Diego Tour de Cure.
