Lauren Keary is graduate student at New York University studying Magazine Journalism. She grew up in Southern California and got her B.A. in Literary Journalism at the University of California, Irvine. A foodie at heart, she wrote and published stories while working for FoodBeast during her time at UCI and is now furthering her writing career in the Big Apple. Lauren's best friend (@typeonetypehappy) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2014, and is now a popular blogger in the type 1 community.
