How to Eat Low Carb on a Budget

Some of the cheapest foods available are junk foods – fast food, often carb dense and nutritionally depressing. It can be a challenge to find foods that don’t cause blood sugars to spike that also don’t empty our your wallet.  It can also be frustrating when you drive by any fast food place and see advertisements like, “Try Our Dollar Menu!” or “Kid’s Meal for $0.99!”  Why are these crappy foods available for pennies while a healthy meal appears out of reach?

We hear you.  And we want to help.  We’ve put together some resources for eating low carb, diabetes-friendly meals on a budget, in hopes of achieving good physical and good financial health for people with diabetes.
