Part of my enjoyment may be due to the fact that, as a child, I occasionally dressed in a way that made me resemble the Dear Leader:

But it also got me thinking: this sort of matter-of-fact, distant, omnipotent tone is how I sometimes feel like acting toward my diabetes. So I thought I’d introduce a challenge to all you diabetics out there looking for a way to procrastinate. Open up Comic Life (or the PC equivalent) and make your own diabetes propaganda poster, then send it to me at reluctantdiabetic[at]gmail and I’ll post them to the blog. I just made one myself — basic, but it’s a start. Great Leaders of Diabetes, I know you can do better.
