My grandparents in Florida always liked restaurants that offered an early bird special. I don’t think they knew it, but they were on to something. Eating early is good for you. If you finish your food a few hours before you go to sleep, your body will have time to complete digestion, and you can check to see exactly where your blood sugar is before you sign out for the day. Doing this means you’re likely to avoid any middle of the night highs or lows. Even better, eating an early dinner can help with weight loss, and it often alleviates heartburn too.
